Laser Hair Removal Advantages

February 25, 2011 in Laser hair removal

When it comes to different hair removal methods, the laser has many clear advantages. In addition to being fast and efficient, one of the biggest advantages is the possibility that it can eliminate hairs once and for all, or at least for a long period of time. Most hair removal methods have disadvantages, but most importantly are not permanent and have to be repeated frequently. This is where laser hair removal has a significant advantage, because while it cannot guarantee that hairs will never grow back, in the right hands it can lead to a permanent or long term reduction of hair.

Newer laser machines are very advanced and refined tools that can often be adjusted as necessary depending on the circumstances. The practitioner can change the settings to a lower or higher setting or make other adjustments as needed. Lasers are also precise instruments that can target and destroy hair without destroying the surrounding skin. In terms of speediness, laser hair removal is one of the fastest methods for removing hair, much faster than most people would think. Facial areas have always been quick to treat, but while large body areas used to take up to one hour, they can now be treated in 20 minutes or less. Newer laser machines have bigger nozzles which is why  they can treat any area of the face and body much faster than before.

While laser hair removal can be uncomfortable, especially if there is no pain relief, it can also be a very convenient treatment, where the practitioner will take care of everything. There will be no tricky tools or any messes to clean up afterwards. The client will simply lie down on the treatment table and try to relax while the laser hair removal practitioner does the job. If the client is concerned about pain, it is possible to apply a numbing cream before treatment, which will make the whole procedure much more tolerable than waxing, but most machines have built in cooling devices that will also help to ease any discomfort.

Laser hair removal can also be a good investment, as once most of the hair is gone the client will no longer have to spend money on alternative hair removal methods such as shaving and waxing. This gives laser hair removal a huge advantage. But rather than buying a package right away, the client should pay for the sessions one by one to see if there is any positive development. At least three laser hair removal sessions will be needed in order to see a difference, but if the treatments are successful the client will have little to no hair left. While there is a small possibility that hair can grow back at some point in life the results will still last longer than most other hair removal methods including shaving, waxing, tweezing and the use of depilatories and epilators.
